In order to become a pilot it is mandatory to approve successfuly and without any restrictions an EASA Class 1 Medical Certification.

In Italy it is possible to have a medical exam at the IMAS institute (Institute of Aerospace Medicine) in Rome, Milan and Bari, but the waiting list is quite long up to 3-4 months. A further possibility to carry out the medical exam is at the CAVOK medical centre, the first Italian civil aeromedical centre, located in Milano Malpensa, with easier booking times but a higher cost of the visit.
